Bill Prickett

About

Bill Prickett works mainly in wood. His originals are cast in bronze and available as limited edition reproductions. Animals were his first love, and he has travelled all over the world working with and studying animals. The natural world is the main influence in his work. Bill writes regularly about carving for various publications and his sculpture is featured in several books including "The Sculptor's Bible" and "The Sculpting Techniques Bible".

Exhibition History

Various Galleries in the UK including the Mall Galleries, (Society of Wildlife Artist annual exhibition), House of Bruar in Scotland, The Sculpture Park, Surrey. His work has also sold at Christies.

Biography / CV

Bill Worked with Animals for 15 years, and travelled the world with this work. He also undertook various expeditions (usually with the aim of stuying a particular animal) to places such as Borneo, Congo and Australia. 12 years ago he decided to give up the animal work and embark on a career as a sculptor.

Awards and Prizes

Among others: "Peoples Choice" two years running at the Pensthorpe National Wildlife Woodcarving and sculpture Exhibition.

Acquisitions / Collections

Bills work is held in various collections worldwide, including the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi.

Teaching Experience

Bill is a qualified Adult Education Teacher. Has taught for over ten years, and now teaches privately in Kent.
